Somewhere in my teens (can't remember exactly due to suppressed childhood memories), I was helping my grandmother in the back yard perform her camel back washing line maneuver.
I got stung so bad that day I developed a party trick thumb *.

I would return years later to the same town to get a rematch. The second time happened moments after I got in a friend’s car (who failed to mention they had recently driven through a swarm of bees and hurriedly rolled up their windows).
I remember the swelling more than the yelling.
